How long has Comfortis been in existence?

The basis for the current Comfortis was laid in 1983 with the restoration of used furniture. In 1992 we expanded our activities with (re)upholstery, including marine upholstery. In 2006 we started to specialize exclusively in marine Mattresses, bedlinen and upholstery  with the highest conceivable comfort.

Where are Comfortis mattresses made?

Our mattresses are made using entirely traditional methods and to measure in our own workshop in Lemmer. The same naturally applies to our mattress protectors, fitted sheets,  duvets, bedspreads, sheets, pillows and other bed linen.

Where is the upholstery made?

All the upholstery is also made in-house: carpets, seat cushions, back cushions, ceiling cladding, cockpit cushions and sundeck cushions. The padding can be either easy dry foam, or alternatively closed cell foam.

Does Comfortis work throughout the country?

Generally speaking, we work throughout the Benelux countries and often in the more southern European countries as well, including France, Italy and Spain.

Who takes the measurements?

In practically all cases, Comfortis will come and take the measurements on board your vessel and always makes the moulds on-site.

What does a Comfortis mattress actually cost?

The huge variety of Comfortis mattresses makes it impossible to give a cut-and-dried answer to this right away. The cost depends very much on the thickness, the type of material, kind of mattress and the number of sections that the mattress will consist of.

Actually, we can only give you an accurate price if you come and try out the beds in our showroom.

Do I have to bring the old mattress with me to the showroom?

No, you really don't have to drag your old mattress along.

If you come to our showroom to try out the beds, however, it would be handy if you brought a rough indication of the sizes you require.

These are, of course, the width and length required, but the height of your cabin (the height between the bottom boards and the ceiling/deck or cockpit) may be even more important, so that we can assist you with your choice of the right type and thickness for your new mattress(es) in the showroom.

Can every mattress be laid on a slat base?

Almost all the types of mattress we make can be laid on a slat base. Comfortis has the greatest collection of mattresses in the Netherlands in-house.

What are the opening times?

You are very welcome to visit our showroom in Lemmer from 09.00 to 17.00 hours Monday to Friday have a Look under opening times for the latest information.
